SUPPORT OUR CAUSE FOR THE
DISABLED
Calgary,
AB. April 19, 2015- The Independent living Resource Centre pleases to make
known to the entire Canadians and public that it has liaised with ROBERTSON
COLLEGE towards providing some educational programs that will help give the
less privileged ones a sense of belonging and some form of human dignity in
society.
The
program is one of many that are meant to give purpose and meaning to those with
living with one form of disability all across Canada, knowing that the
potentials they possess can be put to effective use for the growth and development
of a country such as ours. However, the educational program is far more than
giving them basic educational knowledge but propelling them to becoming
potential and resourceful managers that can be appreciated in the workplace self-dependent.
Meanwhile,
members of the public are encouraged to help in sponsoring at least one of
these our fellow Canadians who has a dream and vision of becoming somebody in
life through acquiring educational goals; as we know “Love is not patronizing
and charity isn’t about pity it is about love. Charity and love are the same-
with charity you give love, so don’t just give money but reach out your hand
instead”
Canadians
the questions we should ask ourselves is; should we allow our abled bodied men
and women to be a subject of disdain and mockery because of their disability?
Of course the answer is No for anyone who has a loved one that suffers the same
fate or imagines what it is to be disabled and abandoned by society. ‘Every
sunrise is an invitation for us to arise and brighten someone’s day’.

As
Daine Kreuger chairperson of the organization stated in her address “Charity is
the power of defending that which we know to be indefensible. Hope is the power
of being cheerful in circumstances which we know to be desperate. It is true that
there is a state of hope which belongs to bright prospects and the morning; but
that is not the virtue of hope. The virtue only exists in earthquake and
eclipse. It true that there is a thing crudely called charity, which means charity to the deserving
poor, but charity to the deserving poor is not charity all, but justice. It is the
undeserving who requires it, and the ideal either does not exist at all, or
exist wholly for them. For practical
purposes it is at the hopeless moment that requires the hopeful man, and the
virtue either does not exist at all, or begins to exist at moment. Exactly at
the instant when hope ceases to be reasonable it begins to be useful.”
However,
we encourage all who love and want to support the talented disabled young and dynamic
